Prescribing requirements
To prescribe Schedule 2 controlled drugs:
- Prescribers must hold a Private Prescriber Identification Number (PPIN)
- If not already obtained, prescribers can apply via their local NHS England regional team

Important information
Prescribers must ensure that all legal requirements for Schedule 2 prescriptions are met. Before the medication is dispatched, delivery details must be confirmed with Customer Service. Upon delivery, patients are required to present valid photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence, and sign to acknowledge receipt of the medication.

Supply is made only against a valid prescription from an authorised UK prescriber.
